Apart from the physical
dimensions of a toroid (outside and inside diameter,
thickness) there is a value given for each particular core size and material,
which is usually called the
Iron powder: turns = 100 ((desired L/AL) 0.5) (where L in uH)
Ferrite: turns = 1000 ((desired L/AL) 0.5) (where L in mH)
Note: doubling the turns produces four times the inductance.
